The Benefits of Sharing your Social Posts to Your Stories

small business social media Jun 22, 2023

It's been so exciting for me being able to share my passion for starting and growing businesses, especially online, but one thing I'm starting to see that most people have in common...they know nothing about how or what to post on social media!! 😑😑

So I'm going to give you a few tips because I want you to be confident in your abilities and able to start sharing online if you aren't.

So Tip #1:

You can share your posts as stories!

(If you don't know how to do this, it will be part of my upcoming 'social media 101' club that's starting soon so stay tuned!)

But here's the deal.. sharing a social media post to your story offers several benefits for creative entrepreneurs:

  1. Increased Visibility: When you share a post to your story, it becomes visible to a wider audience beyond your immediate followers. Your story may appear in the stories feed of people who follow you and others who engage with your content, increasing the chances of reaching new potential followers and customers.

  2. Higher Engagement: Stories often encourage higher engagement compared to regular posts. They have interactive features such as polls, question stickers, and swipe-up links (depending on the platform and follower count). By sharing a post to your story, you can prompt your audience to engage with the content through polls, questions, or direct messages, fostering interaction and creating a more dynamic relationship with your followers.

  3. Amplified Reach for Collaborations: Sharing posts from other creators, brands, or influencers to your story can help establish connections and foster collaborations. When you tag or mention the original creator in your story, it not only shows support but also increases the likelihood of them resharing your story or engaging with your content. This mutual promotion can expose your brand to a broader audience and attract potential collaborations or partnerships. (As I have been telling my current members - one of the best ways to get noticed is to promote others!)

  4. Highlighting Important Content: Your regular posts might get buried in the chronological feed over time. By sharing them to your story, you can bring attention to important or particularly impactful content. This ensures that your audience doesn't miss out on key updates, announcements, or new releases.

  5. Behind-the-Scenes and Authenticity: Stories are typically more informal and allow for a more personal and behind-the-scenes approach. By sharing posts to your story, you can give your audience a glimpse into your creative process, daily activities, or personal life. This authenticity and transparency can deepen the connection with your audience, building trust and loyalty.

It's important to strike a balance when sharing posts to your story though. Overdoing it may result in overwhelming your audience, while underutilizing it may lead to missed opportunities for engagement and visibility. Monitoring analytics and paying attention to audience feedback can help you refine your strategy for sharing posts to your story effectively.

Hope this gave you some insights into sharing your posts as stories!  Keep being amazing!
